BIOGRAPHY

Recognized for her “intensity in musical and dramatic involvement,” soprano Lindsey Brakhage’s voice has been praised for its warmth, power, and “lacrime” quality. Most recently, she has performed the roles of Erste Dame in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Countess Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro, and Mrs. Winemiller in Hoiby’s Summer and Smoke. She made her Weill Recital Hall solo debut at Carnegie Hall in 2017. A recent recipient of The Chapman Cultural Center Artist Grant, Ms. Brakhage enjoys a plethora of artistic outlets. She recently published her first children’s book “Lindsey the Lion” that tackles the subject of stage fright. She currently serves as a Preschool Music Teacher and the Soprano Section Leader at the Episcopal Church of the Advent in Spartanburg, SC. â€‹Her upcoming roles include the title role in Tosca with GLOW Lyric Theater in Greenville, SC.
